RECORDABLE DOCUMENTS
In accordance with Florida Statutes 28.222 and 28.223, the Clerk of the Circuit Court is mandated to be the recorder of all documents required or authorized by law. The following list contains the only documents that can be recorded:
- Recording Fees Recordable Instruments List
- Civil Recordable Instruments List
- Circuit Criminal Recordable Instruments List
- County Criminal Recordable Instruments List
- Probate Recordable Instruments List
E-RECORDING
The Washington County Clerk’s Office is successfully e-recording with Simplifile. E-recording, or electronic recording, is the process of filing and recording documents with the Washington County Clerk of Court’s Recording Office via the internet. This process would otherwise require documents be submitted by express mail, courier service or personal visit. With e-recording, customers can simply scan the original document to be recorded, convert it to an electronic image, add indexing information and with one click of the mouse submit it to the Washington County Clerk of Court’s Recording Office.
